This project consists of eight slumped glass panels dividing the CHSLD dining room and common meeting room. The 30-foot-long artwork is inspired by the surrounding natural environment near the L’Assomption River. The glass panels were slumped over large cast plaster panels, which feature imprints of natural elements such as bark textures, falling leaf patterns on the ground, and watery visual effects. The glass wall is illuminated by 32 spotlights with dichroic filters, which diffuse light on the glass surface and animate the partition. This artwork is designed to evoke a landscape feeling within the building environment.
